The Golden State Advantage Card provides low-income households with coupons or electronic benefits they can use like cash at most grocery stores to ensure that they have access to a healthy diet. The average amount of benefits received per household is about $200 per month. Currently, there are 4,505,015 eligible for the Golden State Advantage program but only 2,477,758 people have applied for the program.
